Tracy Livingston

Founder and CEO 

Tracy founded Wasatch Wind, Inc. in 2002 after seventeen years of successfully founding, developing and growing technology businesses. The entrepreneurial skills he developed in structured finance, corporate governance and business management provide him with the critical experience needed to bring renewable energy technologies to market. After taking several years off in search of a career opportunity where he could make a positive impact, Tracy founded Wasatch Wind, Inc. and Wasatch Wind Intermountain, because he feels strongly about the positive benefits of clean, renewable wind energy.

Tracy helped lay the legislative and regulatory groundwork in Utah to bring the first commercial wind farm in the state to operation. He has studied and developed a deep expertise in wind resource analysis, transmission issues and wind energy project finance.

Tracy is the CEO of Wasatch Wind Intermountain. Tracy received a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee.

John Aubrecht

Senior Vice President of Development

John has thirty years of energy generation experience and two decades of wind development experience, on the development and operations sides as well as the financing side. He oversees all aspects of Wasatch Wind Intermountain's wind development strategy and execution. Prior to Wasatch Wind Intermountain, John served as the Executive Director of Wind Development for FPL Energy (Nextera), the largest wind developer in the nation. In that capacity, he oversaw FPL's development efforts across many areas of the country including Texas and the Midwest.

John's career includes developing, engineering, constructing, operating and providing project finance for electrical generating assets totaling more than $10 billion. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and his MBA from NYU.

Brett Woodard

CFO

Brett is instrumental in arranging finance for the company's project development portfolio. He has over 25 years of experience in arranging international and domestic project finance for high technology infrastructure projects and has also served in senior finance and accounting functions in emerging telecommunications and biotechnology companies. Prior to joining Wasatch Wind, Inc. Brett was the Head of Nokia Networks Customer Finance North America and VP in the Vendor Financial Services Group for GE Capital. Brett has served as the CFO of Wasatch Wind Intermountain since 2007.

He holds a BS and an MBA in Finance from the University of Utah, as well as graduate education in the PhD Finance program at the Wharton School.

Christine Watson Mikell

Senior Project Development Manager

Christine manages the development of wind energy projects for Wasatch Wind Intermountain from start to finish. She has worked in the wind energy industry since 2001 and led the development of Utah's first commercial-scale wind facility in Spanish Fork. Prior to Wasatch Wind Intermountain, Christine worked as an energy engineer for the Utah Energy Office. In this position, Christine launched Utah's wind energy program, to encourage wind energy as a means to create economic development in rural communities throughout the state. She holds a B.E. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from the University of Utah.

Sam Lichenstein

Land Acquisition Manager

Sam manages Wasatch Wind Intermountain's team of land acquisition specialists. Throughout his years in wind development, Sam has worked with hundreds of landowners in Texas, Oklahoma, Maine, Kansas and California to acquire more than half a million acres of developable land for close to 1,000 MW of wind energy. Sam has also managed wind development projects and supervised landowner and attorney negotiations, reporting requirements, and overall acquisition management for long-distance transmission lines.

Andrew Fales, CPA

Vice President Finance

Andrew began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP's mergers and acquisition (M&A) tax group in New York where he represented and advised Fortune 500 and large private equity clients. He worked directly with Wasatch Wind's CEO, Tracy Livingston, on the structuring and tax aspects of the Spanish Fork wind farm. He earned a bachelor degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University, a Masters of Accountancy with an emphasis in Taxation, also from Brigham Young University, and a Masters in Business Administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
